Join us for a FREE Paint Recycling Event on Sept. 21

The City of Tukwila is excited to announce a FREE paint recycling event scheduled for September 21, 2024, at the Tukwila Community Center, running from 9 AM to 3 PM. This initiative allows residents and businesses to responsibly dispose of unwanted paint and contribute to environmental sustainability by preventing hazardous waste from entering landfills. Participants can bring up to 100 gallons of accepted paint types, including latex and oil-based paints, as long as they are in original, non-leaking, and labeled containers. Notably, items such as solvents, spray paint, and cleaning agents are excluded from the recycling process. Additionally, for those with more than 100 gallons, the city offers the option to arrange for a free pick-up service.

This event not only helps in managing waste effectively but also raises awareness about the importance of recycling in the community. Interested individuals are encouraged to register ahead of time to ensure a streamlined experience.
