On February 9, 2025, Tampa's law enforcement agencies, including the Street Anti-Crimes Squad and SWAT Team, executed a raid on the All Stars Tampa Domino Club, arresting three individuals involved in an illegal gambling operation. The investigation began in December 2023, with undercover officers placing numerous bets over the course of 2024 to gather evidence. The operation revealed that the suspects—67-year-old Marcelino Perez, 32-year-old Charlie Parilla, and 29-year-old Kendrick Franklin—were engaged in a significant racketeering scheme centered around illegal sports betting. Following the raid, police seized over $12,000 in cash, a semi-automatic pistol, and evidence of the gambling operation, highlighting the seriousness of the charges they face. Perez is charged with conspiracy to bookmake and RICO violations, while Franklin and Parilla face multiple betting-related felonies.

Chief Lee Bercaw praised the officers' diligence and issued a stern warning to potential offenders in the region. This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by Tampa law enforcement to combat illegal gambling and protect the community. The crackdown reflects a broader commitment to maintaining public safety and upholding the law.
