Increased Traffic Near Tampa Convention Center on Feb. 15-17

The Gasparilla Volleyball Kickoff is set to draw thousands of athletes and their families to the Tampa Convention Center from February 15 to 17, significantly impacting local traffic. Event hours are slated from 8 a. m. to 11 p. m.

on Saturday and Sunday, with a slightly shorter schedule on Monday from 7:45 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. Peak traffic congestion is expected at the start and end of each day, prompting the City of Tampa to recommend that drivers plan their routes accordingly.

Beyond the volleyball tournament, Downtown Tampa will also host concerts at Amalie Arena, further contributing to the anticipated traffic increase.
