Tampa Police Seek Public's Help in Armed Robbery Investigation

On August 21, 2024, the Tampa Police Department announced a public request for assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect from an incident that occurred on August 9. The robbery took place at the 29th Street Grocery store, where the armed suspect threatened the clerk with a gun and demanded money. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the robbery. Law enforcement released a video clip of the suspect, who can be seen wearing a black t-shirt with white lettering and black and gray camouflage shorts. The suspect also wore black Nike slides and has a noticeable scar on his abdomen.

After committing the robbery, he fled the scene on a bicycle, heading northbound on 29th Street. Detectives are actively gathering evidence and pursuing leads in the case. The police urge anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or whereabouts to contact the Tampa Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay.
