2 killed on Park Street in Pinellas after crash involving car, motorcycle

In a devastating accident on Park Street in Pinellas County, two individuals lost their lives in a collision between a motorcycle and a car late Tuesday night. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the fatal crash occurred at approximately 10:47 p. m. after a 24-year-old woman from St. Petersburg failed to yield while turning onto Park Street.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 49-year-old man from Mary Esther in the Florida Panhandle, was traveling north when the crash happened. Both the motorcyclist and the car driver died on the scene, leaving a 23-year-old male passenger in the car seriously injured. Emergency responders transported the injured passenger to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Florida Highway Patrol has not disclosed the names of the victims as investigations continue. The incident highlights the ongoing concerns regarding road safety and the tragic consequences that can arise from traffic accidents.
