2 killed, 1 injured in Pinellas County motorcycle crash: FHP

A fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Pinellas County on Tuesday night, resulting in the deaths of two drivers and serious injuries to a passenger. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened shortly after 10:45 p. m. when a 24-year-old woman driving a Subaru Impreza stopped at a stop sign and then entered the path of a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by a 49-year-old man from Mary Esther. The collision at the intersection of 46th Avenue North and Park Street North was catastrophic, leaving both drivers deceased at the scene.

A 23-year-old man who was a passenger in the Impreza suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The FHP is currently investigating the incident, looking into factors that may have contributed to the crash. This tragic event underscores the importance of road safety, particularly at intersections where visibility and adherence to traffic signals are crucial. Local authorities encourage drivers to remain vigilant to prevent such devastating accidents.
