Driver, trooper hospitalized after crash in Tarpon Springs: FHP

The collision occurred around 1:45 PM while the patrol car, driven by a 27-year-old state trooper, was stationary in the median near Parkview Boulevard, monitoring traffic conditions. The impact caused the patrol car to rotate into the southbound lanes, while the Mercedes came to a halt in the northbound lanes. Fortunately, both the driver and the trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were promptly transported to local hospitals for medical assessment.
