Florida man opens fire on garbage truck while chasing it through Zephyrhills Police

A verbal altercation at a Wawa in Zephyrhills early Friday led to Quinson De'Shawn Croson chasing a garbage truck while firing a handgun. After the dispute, the victim, who noted Croson's intoxication, was shot in the forearm and sought treatment at a local hospital. Surveillance footage confirmed Croson's aggressive pursuit and shooting at the garbage truck before crashing into it, injuring the victim's coworker. Croson fled the scene but was later apprehended in Hillsborough County. He faces two counts of attempted homicide and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding gun violence and intoxication in public spaces. Local authorities are asking for additional witnesses to provide information to further the investigation. This case underscores the importance of addressing firearm access among convicted felons.
