Summer kicks off with a Blast

Tacoma's 4th of July Summer Blast returns to the Ruston Way waterfront, promising a full day of entertainment, food, and fireworks. The event will implement street closures to ensure safety and facilitate movement, a measure praised by Deputy Director Joe Brady. This year, organizers have added 350 parking spaces, easing access to the site. Over 150 vendors will participate, offering food and crafts, while dedicated zones cater to families with activities such as a bounce house and interactive games. Three beer gardens will serve adults, ensuring a festive atmosphere.

The musical lineup includes local talents like DJ Sureal and Emily McVicker, promising a diverse range of performances. With an emphasis on community enjoyment, the event aims to activate the waterfront and foster a family-friendly environment.
