Local girl earns championship in horse agility

Elouise Hemenway claimed the 2024 Junior World Reserve Grand Championship in horse agility, marking a significant achievement in her equestrian journey. Hemenway dedicated countless hours training with her horse, Harley, who had a challenging past that made him initially frightened. Instructor Kathy Richardson highlighted the transformative bond that grew between them, rooted in trust and effective communication. The International Horse Agility Club, where Hemenway competes, emphasizes humane training methods and includes online competitions where participants navigate various obstacles.
