Rudy Round Town Eggs Flying

Tacoma, WALocal News

The neighborhood Easter egg hunt, hosted by Ellie, drew families eager to celebrate the holiday with fun and games. Children participated in various age groups, with Jason, an Army Ranger, managing the festivities and ensuring order amidst the excitement. The highlight was the egg toss competition, where teams of parents and kids tossed raw eggs back and forth to see who could keep theirs intact the longest. Ruby, an 8-year-old, found the coveted golden egg containing $15, which inspired her to entertain the crowd with an impromptu song. Parents laughed and cheered as the event unfolded, despite a few mishaps, such as a broken egg on a young girl's dress.

The day fostered a sense of community, bringing families together for laughter and shared experiences. This lively event showcased the joys of neighborhood gatherings during the Easter holiday. Community members left with fond memories and a desire to return for future celebrations.
