The Tacoma Lawn Bowling Club, a beloved fixture in the community since 1929, is celebrating the start of its 2025 season with a free Open Day scheduled for Saturday, April 26, from noon to 3 p. m. at Wright Park. This engaging event will feature live music, snacks, and games, creating a welcoming environment for families and individuals to explore lawn bowling. The club, which has over 50 active members, proudly maintains its historic green, originally established in 1936 through community fundraising efforts.

Laura Moscatello, President of the club, expressed excitement in inviting the public to learn about the sport and meet passionate volunteers. The Open Day will also highlight the club's popular learn-to-bowl program, designed for beginners and covering techniques, etiquette, and teamwork. This two-session course will take place on Saturday mornings from May through July, ensuring ample opportunities for newcomers to engage.
