Mason Sullivan, a senior at Franklin Pierce High School, has been recognized as the 2025 Youth of the Year by the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound, earning a $10,000 scholarship for his future studies. This prestigious title highlights his commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community service, reflecting the values instilled in him since he joined the Boys & Girls Club in 2016. Sullivan's journey began when he and his sister were introduced to the organization through their mother, who was pursuing her master’s degree. Over the years, he has volunteered extensively, mentoring younger members and assisting club staff with various programs. His contributions and warm personality caught the attention of club leadership, who encouraged him to pursue the Youth of the Year title.

As he prepares to study veterinary medicine, having already been accepted to the University of California, Davis and Colorado State University, Sullivan feels a mix of excitement and anxiety about this new phase in his life. Club Manager Ben McMahon praised Sullivan's dedication and resilience, emphasizing the positive impact he has had on his community.
