Boeing Max crash cases settle

Tacoma, WALocal News

In a significant legal development, the families of two victims from the 2019 Ethiopian Boeing 737 Max 8 crash reached confidential settlements just before a trial was scheduled to commence in Chicago. Tacoma attorney Mark Lindquist, representing victim Belanger, expressed a desire for Boeing to reclaim its legacy of engineering excellence. The crash killed 157 people, and while these settlements bring some resolution, 18 cases are still pending. Lindquist's legal team included experienced local counsel, underscoring the depth of expertise involved in the litigation against Boeing. Alongside civil cases, Boeing is also facing a criminal investigation by the U.

S. Department of Justice, with proceedings set for June 2025. Lindquist's firm, recognized as a top personal injury firm, is also involved in other significant aviation cases. He advocates for accountability and safety in the aviation sector, emphasizing the need for Boeing to prioritize public safety. The settlements highlight the ongoing impact of the crash on the victims' families and the broader aviation community.
