Highlands Golf Course holds annual Easter event

Tacoma, WALocal News

The Highlands Golf Course in Tacoma is gearing up for its annual Easter event on April 19, expected to attract around 300 attendees. This community-oriented gathering will feature age-divided egg hunts, ensuring that children from toddlers to pre-teens can participate in the fun. Organizers Jack and Angela Connelly have successfully cultivated a festive atmosphere over the past four years, with Angela noting the event's roots in community building. This year's event will see approximately 1,200 colorful plastic eggs filled with treats scattered across the golf course. A highlight will be the appearance of the Easter Bunny, alongside Pierce County’s Daffodil Princesses, who add an extra touch of magic to the festivities.

The Connellys hope to create lasting memories that foster connections among local families. Angela, a former Daffodil Princess herself, reflects on the importance of community engagement through such events. The Easter celebration continues to be a beloved tradition that brings together people of all ages, showcasing the spirit of spring in Tacoma.
