Pre-Chip Seal Maintenance Activities on Browns Point Boulevard to Begin March 31

Tacoma, WALocal News

Starting March 31, 2025, the City of Tacoma will initiate essential pre-chip seal maintenance on Browns Point Boulevard, focusing on extending the road's lifespan until more extensive improvements can be made. The Street Operations Division will tackle existing pavement issues, including crack sealing and pothole repairs, which are crucial for enhancing the driving experience. Residents can anticipate temporary traffic disruptions, such as "No Parking" restrictions and road closures, but advanced notifications will be provided via message boards and posted signage. Clearly marked detour routes will help minimize inconvenience, and access for emergency vehicles and local residents will be maintained throughout the project. This proactive approach underscores the city's commitment to infrastructure improvement and community safety.

As the summer chip seal project approaches, the city promises to share detailed scheduling with the community. Community members with inquiries can reach out to Project Supervisor Sean Probst for more information. This maintenance activity is a critical step in ensuring the longevity and safety of Browns Point Boulevard.
