Tourism campaign moves to phase three

Tacoma, WALocal News

Puyallup's tourism campaign has successfully transitioned to Phase Three, marking a significant step forward with the launch of PurePuyallup. com, a new website designed to consolidate information about the city's attractions and amenities. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Rotator Creative, addresses a long-standing gap in local tourism resources, as highlighted by City Public Affairs Officer Eric Johnson. Previously, potential visitors faced challenges in finding comprehensive information about the city due to scattered resources. The new website adopts a "less is more" approach, focusing on key attractions, shops, restaurants, and hotels to create a compelling first impression.

Kendon Shaw, Rotator's Creative Director, emphasized the site's purpose of inspiring visitors to consider Puyallup as a travel destination. The campaign, initiated in 2022, reflects a commitment to enhancing local tourism and community engagement. By providing a centralized platform, Puyallup aims to boost its visibility and draw more visitors to experience its unique offerings. This strategic move not only benefits local businesses but also fosters a sense of pride among residents.
