City Crews Prepare for More Winter Weather in Tacoma

Tacoma, WALocal News

City of Tacoma crews are actively preparing for more winter weather, with freezing temperatures and possible snow showers predicted from February 13 to February 14. The Street Operations teams have taken preemptive measures by deicing roads across the city in light of an uncertain forecast, which includes a mix of rain and snow along with warmer temperatures for the evening. Residents are advised to stay alert for potential freezing conditions overnight and early Friday morning. To ensure safety, three deicing trucks will be dispatched starting at midnight on Friday to manage unexpected road conditions and localized snow accumulations of less than ½ inch. The city is also equipped with additional snow removal resources to address any further challenges that may arise.

This proactive approach underscores Tacoma's commitment to public safety and efficient road management during adverse weather.
