Military Members Encouraged to Participate in JBLM Survey

Tacoma, WALocal News

Tacoma's military community is being encouraged to participate in the JBLM Needs and Preferences Survey, a vital initiative aimed at collecting data on the demographics and needs of service members and their families. First launched in 2011, the survey serves as a key resource for local, state, and national government organizations, covering topics such as marital status, homeownership, and perceptions of public safety. Council Member Joe Lonergan highlights the significance of this survey in shaping effective policies for military support. Around 42,000 service members from Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) have been invited to partake through various channels, including their chains of command. The survey is exclusively online, ensuring broad accessibility for participants.

Responses are due by October 21, 2013, making it imperative for military members to engage promptly. Interested individuals can find further information on the South Sound Military and Communities Partnership website. This initiative underscores the commitment to understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by military families.
