City of Tacoma Secures Over 10.6 Million in Grants for Critical Infrastructure Projects
The City of Tacoma has secured $10,627,945 in grant funding for six vital infrastructure projects that prioritize pedestrian safety and accessibility. These initiatives are part of Tacoma's broader Vision Zero Action Plan, which aims to eradicate traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries by 2035. The funding, awarded by the Puget Sound Regional Council, Transportation Improvement Board, and Washington State Department of Transportation, will facilitate significant upgrades, including the reconstruction of Puyallup Avenue and enhancements to various signalized intersections.
