Pet of the Week Scooby

Tacoma, WALocal News

Scooby, a 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier and Weimaraner mix, is ready to find his forever home where he can shine as a devoted companion. Initially shy, Scooby warms up quickly, showing his playful side during walks and when he’s on the lookout for squirrels. His keen sense of smell makes him a natural at nose training, and he thrives in environments with structure and consistency, making him ideal for homes with adults or older teens. The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County plays a vital role in the community, successfully placing over 6,000 pets in loving homes each year. Additionally, they reunite more than 1,100 lost animals with their owners, showcasing their commitment to animal welfare.

Their comprehensive programs also include Spay/Neuter & Wellness Vouchers, monthly Vaccine & Wellness Clinics, and a Pet Food & Supply Pantry.
