The Asian and Pacific Islander Coalition of Washington is set to mobilize community members for A&NH/PI Legislative Day on February 13, 2025, at the state capitol in Olympia. This significant event aims to advocate for policies that directly affect Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. Organized by APIC, the initiative will see participation from local chapters, including the Asia Pacific Cultural Center and Asian Counseling and Referral Service, representing diverse regions throughout Washington. Participants will engage in lobbying discussions on critical issues such as immigration justice, civil rights, voting rights, and access to healthcare. To facilitate effective advocacy, registrants will receive legislative priority materials and be grouped by region for meetings with legislators.

The day will kick off with a rally at the capitol, emphasizing the collective voice of the community. This legislative engagement is crucial for addressing the unique challenges faced by A&NH/PI communities and fostering a more inclusive policy landscape. By uniting diverse voices, the coalition aims to create meaningful change and ensure that community concerns are heard at the state level.
