Rebuilding Hope opens doors in Hilltop with expanded services

Rebuilding Hope Sexual Assault Center is proud to announce the opening of its newly renovated healing center in Tacoma's Hilltop neighborhood, which marks a significant expansion of its services for survivors of sexual assault. The center, which reopened in January after a temporary closure, will host an open house on February 19 to welcome the community and showcase its enhanced facilities. Nearly doubling its previous square footage, the new site offers increased capacity for therapy and advocacy, as well as a specialized program for victims of sex trafficking and exploitation. Notable improvements include greater accessibility due to its location near public transportation and hospitals, as well as dedicated spaces for educational workshops and victim-survivor group activities. The center plans to further develop the site with a client drop-in center, dedicated youth space, wellness center, and healing garden, all aimed at supporting recovery and resilience.

Funding for these initiatives is being raised through the Healing Headquarters Campaign, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to long-term sustainability and support for victim-survivors. Rebuilding Hope’s efforts not only improve local resources but also raise awareness about the critical services available to those affected by sexual violence. This expansion is a vital step in fostering a safer, more supportive community for survivors.
