Funded by user fees from the city's stormwater utility, the program awards a total of $50,000 each year to promote environmental stewardship. Eligible projects may include educational programs, community engagement initiatives, and restoration efforts, all designed to improve water quality. Applicants must align their proposals with specific criteria, including a strong stormwater message and a demonstration of project readiness.

First-time applicants and projects benefiting Tacoma residents will receive special consideration. The program encourages partnerships with multiple agencies to maximize impact.
