Arrest made in Tacoma, WA fatal shooting

A 17-year-old was arrested by the Tacoma Police Department in connection to a fatal shooting that transpired early Thursday morning in Tacoma, WA. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a. m. at the intersection of North Cheyenne Street and North 18th Street. When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite the efforts of the Tacoma Fire Department personnel, who attempted life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The suspect has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently held at Remann Hall. This tragic event has sparked a homicide investigation, raising serious concerns within the community regarding public safety and crime rates. Local residents are increasingly worried about violence in their neighborhoods, pressing for action from authorities.
