Tacoma, WALocal News

Kidsville Play Cafe, a new indoor play area in Puyallup, Washington, officially opened on February 1, 2025, offering a vibrant space for children from infants to 6 years old. The facility boasts seven themed rooms, including a captivating dinosaur zone and a charming princess tea party area, designed to keep the youngest learners engaged during colder months. Co-founders Gayane and Andy Herman, along with family members, realized the community's need for such a space after searching for play areas for their own kids. The cafe is set to initially serve prepackaged snacks, with aspirations to offer hot food and beverages, including options for parents to enjoy a beer while watching sports. Emphasizing developmental play, the Hermans have curated toys and activities based on their children's preferences and insights from other parents.

Additionally, they plan to host bilingual storytimes to support language development in the local Russian-speaking community. Admission is priced at $13. 50, and they are working on membership options and private party rentals. With its focus on family engagement and community needs, Kidsville Play Cafe is poised to become a beloved local destination.
