In Tacoma, a woman was shot in an incident that appears to have stemmed from an attempted residential burglary in Pierce County. The police responded to the shooting around 1:30 PM, and the victim is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. The earlier disturbance involved five armed men attempting to break into a relative's apartment while the victim monitored the situation remotely through a smart doorbell camera. Witnesses reported that the suspects were visibly armed and engaged in aggressive behavior, including banging on doors and throwing rocks. After the attempted break-in, the suspects fled in two vehicles, prompting a search by deputies, who were unable to locate them.
