This marks the latest in a series of closures for the bridge, which recently underwent repairs in December when a motor was replaced. The City of Tacoma has announced that the bridge will remain inaccessible to vehicles until temperatures return to more favorable conditions. Forecasts predict low temperatures remaining at or below freezing into the following weekend, compounding the bridge's mechanical issues.
