On Sunday afternoon, a car versus pedestrian collision in Puyallup resulted in serious injuries for an 18-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl. Police responded to a dispatch call at 2:41 p. m. and arrived at the 1300 block of 12th Avenue Northwest, near Sam Peach Park, where they found the victims. They were transported to Tacoma hospitals for urgent medical care.

The driver, a 32-year-old Puyallup resident, showed signs of drug influence and had two children as passengers who were unharmed. Authorities arrested him, charging him with vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, and driving without a valid license. This incident raises concerns about road safety and impaired driving, especially in pedestrian-heavy areas.
