Shooting in downtown Puyallup two suspects sought after firing at bus passenger

The Puyallup Police Department is searching for two suspects involved in a shooting on a Pierce Transit bus that targeted a seated passenger. The incident occurred on a Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of South Meridian, prompting a swift police response. Thankfully, the targeted passenger, along with four others and the bus driver, were unharmed, despite the bus sustaining damage from gunfire. Police Chief Scott Engle reported that the suspects exited the bus before firing and fled on foot. As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made, and detectives are actively following leads.

Authorities suspect the shooters may be minors, raising significant concerns about youth violence in the community. The motive for the shooting is still unknown, leaving residents anxious about safety. The police department encourages anyone with information to come forward.
