Tacoma Grocery Stores Adjust Holiday Hours for Christmas Shopping

Tacoma residents can take advantage of adjusted grocery store hours to complete their Christmas shopping. Safeway will operate from 5 a. m. to 7 p. m.

on Christmas Eve and 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. on Christmas Day.

Fred Meyer will be open from 6 a. m. to 6 p. m. on Christmas Eve but will not open on Christmas Day.

WinCo Foods has two locations, with one remaining open for 24 hours starting December 23, but both will close on Christmas Day. Metropolitan Market in the Proctor District will be accessible until 6 p. m. on Christmas Eve and will not open on Christmas Day. Tacoma Boys will close early at 4 p.

m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed the following day. Costco, Walmart Supercenter, and Target will also follow similar hours, closing on Christmas Day after opening on Christmas Eve. These adjusted hours reflect the stores' commitment to serving the community during the busy holiday season, and residents are encouraged to plan their visits accordingly.
