An 18-year-old woman and a 2-year-old girl were injured in a car versus pedestrian incident in Puyallup, Washington, on Sunday. The collision occurred around 2:41 p. m. near Sam Peach Park, prompting police and emergency services to respond. Both victims were taken to Tacoma hospitals due to the severity of their injuries.

The driver, a 32-year-old man from Puyallup, was suspected of being under the influence of drugs and had two unharmed children as passengers. He was arrested and charged with vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, and driving without a valid license.
