Tacoma Grocery Stores Adjust Holiday Hours for Christmas Shopping

With Christmas Day approaching, Tacoma grocery stores are making it easier for residents to shop by extending their hours for last-minute gift and grocery purchases. Safeway will be open from 5 a. m. to 7 p. m.

on Christmas Eve and will have reduced hours on Christmas Day. Fred Meyer will close early at 6 p. m. on Christmas Eve and will not open on Christmas Day. WinCo Foods will have one location open for over 24 hours from December 23 to 24.

Metropolitan Market and Tacoma Boys will also adjust their hours, closing early on Christmas Eve and remaining shut on Christmas Day. Costco and Walmart Supercenter will operate until 5 p. m. on Christmas Eve while closing for Christmas. Target will have hours from 8 a.

m. to 8 p. m. on Christmas Eve before closing for the holiday. This detailed list helps Tacoma residents effectively plan their shopping during the festive season.
