16-year-old killed by dad in murder-suicide, Oregon cops say

A heartbreaking murder-suicide occurred in Oregon, where 45-year-old Nicholas Alexander is suspected of killing his 16-year-old daughter, Larissa 'Juniper' Alexander, before taking his own life. The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check, leading to the grim discovery at their apartment. Larissa was a high school junior at Century High School, prompting an outpouring of grief from the school community and officials. Century High School Principal Julie Kasper emphasized the close-knit nature of the community, stating that such trauma profoundly affects everyone involved. This tragic situation highlights the alarming issue of domestic violence, with the FBI reporting that approximately 600 murder-suicides occur annually in the U.

S. Nicholas Alexander had been placed on administrative leave since October due to an ongoing internal investigation.
