Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance built 40 new WA trails this year. Here’s where they are

Tacoma, WALocal News

The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance has opened over 40 new mountain biking trails in Washington state in 2024, further establishing the region as a premier outdoor destination. This initiative, developed in collaboration with local land managers and parks departments, aims to address the diverse riding needs of the community. Trails Director David Fleishhauer noted the importance of understanding local preferences in trail planning. The expansion has been described as staggering by mountain biking outlets, thanks to the efforts of dedicated staff and a robust volunteer network. The new trails are spread across several counties, including King, Pierce, Spokane, and Chelan, making mountain biking more accessible.

An interactive map on the Evergreen website allows riders to filter trails by difficulty, terrain, and bike type. This expansion not only enhances recreational opportunities but also fosters community engagement through volunteer work parties, providing exciting opportunities for both seasoned riders and newcomers.
