Mixed-use project planned for city-owned Puyallup property | Tacoma News Tribune

Tacoma, WALocal News

A significant mixed-use development is planned for downtown Puyallup, with Palindrome Development proposing a project on a 1. 5-acre site at 115 Second St. SE, acquired by the city in 2002. Construction is slated to begin in early 2026 and conclude by mid-2027. The development will feature mixed-income rental housing, for-sale townhomes, and a food hall that includes a craft beer brewery, aiming to replicate the success of Palindrome's The Zed PDX in Portland, known for its variety of independent restaurants.

City officials will provide more details during a City Council meeting on December 10, 2024, and residents are invited to attend or watch the discussion online. This project represents a major investment in revitalizing downtown Puyallup and enhancing local amenities.
