Seattle remains among top best cities for singles in U.S. | Tacoma News Tribune

Tacoma, WALocal News

A recent Wallethub study has ranked Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, and Vancouver among the best cities for singles in the U. S. Seattle, despite dropping from the top position it held in 2023, remains a strong contender at third place due to its diverse attractions and social venues. The study evaluated 182 cities based on dating-friendliness indicators, including online dating opportunities and the average cost of meals for two. Seattle's high median household income of over $80,000 was noted, but its poor ranking in economic factors (173rd out of 182) contributed to its slip in rankings.

Spokane, Tacoma, and Vancouver also made the list, ranking 49th, 82nd, and 132nd respectively. The findings highlight the unique challenges of dating in the region, particularly the 'Seattle freeze' that complicates social interactions. Nevertheless, the study suggests that there are numerous opportunities for singles to connect and find romance in the Pacific Northwest.
