Tacoma Mall’s planned improvements go beyond new ‘Village’ | Tacoma News Tribune
Tacoma Mall is poised for extensive renovations, with a multimillion-dollar plan to revitalize its main building starting in spring 2025. This initiative includes a new two-building dining and retail space named The Village, featuring popular new eateries such as Shake Shack and Happy Lamb Hot Pot. Key improvements to the main building will consist of upgraded and redesigned entrances, a modernized food court, refurbished restrooms and nursing lounges, and a revamped children's play area. Additionally, over 100,000 square feet of new flooring and lighting will be installed to create a brighter shopping environment. These upgrades aim to enhance the overall shopping experience, making it more vibrant and welcoming for visitors.
Simon, the mall's owner, emphasizes that these strategic investments are designed to meet the evolving needs of shoppers in the region. As Tacoma Mall continues to transform, it remains committed to being a premier shopping destination. The construction will not disrupt mall operations, allowing customers to enjoy the space during renovations.
