Ahead of Prime Day, Amazon implements AI innovations aimed at enhancing delivery speed and accuracy. The company will utilize generative AI mapping and supply chain optimization technology to improve customer service. Viraj Chatterjee, Amazon's VP of AMZL Geospatial, noted that customer data plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient deliveries. The introduction of Agentic AI equips robots with the ability to understand and act on commands given in natural language, mirroring human interactions. Moreover, Amazon's supply chain optimization tool predicts customer needs based on local demand patterns and other variables, potentially reducing delivery times by nearly a full day.

This predictive capability is referred to as "perfect placement" by Nathan Smith, director of demand forecasting at Amazon.
