USDA Forest Service annual pass now available online

Sunnyside, WALocal News

The USDA Forest Service will make the Annual Northwest Forest Pass available for online purchase beginning June 20, costing $30. This pass provides access to day-use recreation fee sites in Oregon and Washington, catering to long-standing public requests for digital options. Tracy Calizon, Assistant Director of Recreation, noted the desire to enhance convenience for recreation users. The digital version must be printed, signed, and placed on the vehicle's dashboard, just like the traditional pass. Hardcopy passes remain available for purchase at Forest Service offices or local vendors.

Users can also order hardcopy passes online through Discover Your Northwest or the US Geological Survey Store. The online initiative aims to streamline access to outdoor recreation and support local tourism. For detailed information, potential buyers can check specific National Forest profiles.
