WSP seeking information for a drive-by shooting in Sunnyside that put 2 in the hospital

A drive-by shooting on March 20 injured two individuals in a Nissan Sentra on I-82 in Sunnyside. The Washington State Patrol reported that the shooting occurred around 1 a. m. when an unknown vehicle fired multiple shots at the Nissan, which was traveling westbound between mileposts 62 and 63. Out of the four occupants, two sustained serious injuries, necessitating hospital treatment and one emergency surgery.

Authorities suspect that the unknown vehicle had at least three people inside and fled the scene toward Granger and Toppenish. The incident raises concerns about public safety on the highway, prompting WSP to intensify their investigation.
