Zillah Community Days bring friends, family, and neighbors together

Zillah Community Days started Friday, featuring a vendor market and carnival designed to foster community connections. Mayor Scott Carmack emphasized the importance of the event, stating it helps unite friends, family, and neighbors, especially in the wake of COVID-19 isolation. Saturday will offer a dunk tank opportunity with Mayor Carmack, with proceeds directed toward a planned splash pad. City Administrator Michael Grayum remarked that the festivities honor local sacrifices, particularly those made in the Yakima Valley. Attendees can also enjoy a live band, a beer and wine garden, and engaging activities like gunny sack races.

The Associated Clubs of Zillah, composed of community leaders, organized the event to enhance local ties. Generations of residents have participated in these community days, creating lasting memories and friendships. The event highlights the resilience of Zillah's community spirit amid recent challenges.
