Four Women recognized at Chamber awards ceremony

The Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Legendary Women’s awards on Thursday, honoring four exemplary women for their significant contributions to the community. Betty Jo Murray earned the Legendary Community Service Award, while Yakima City Manager Vicki Baker received the Legendary Leadership in Business Award. Chris Scacco was recognized with the Legendary Education Award, and Roxanne Brady garnered the Legendary Business Ownership Award. Kristi Foster, President and CEO of the Chamber, stated, “Hopefully by seeing somebody of these women and what they have done, they can see that they can do it too. ” This event aims to empower women by showcasing their achievements and encouraging others to pursue their aspirations.

The recognition highlights the vital role women play in leadership and community service. The Chamber focuses on fostering an inclusive environment where all voices are valued. Celebrating these women not only honors their accomplishments but also inspires future generations.
