The City of Sunnyside has officially appointed Kelly Koskie as its new Administrative Services Director, effective April 14, 2025. This decision follows the early retirement of Deputy City Manager Debbie Zabell. Koskie, who boasts over 20 years of experience in government finance, previously served as Finance Director for the City of Cortez, Colorado, where she successfully led finance teams. City Manager Mike Gonzalez expressed his enthusiasm for Koskie's appointment, noting her deep connections to Sunnyside and her dedication to improving the community. Originally from Colorado, Koskie has significant local experience, having served as Finance Director for the Sunnyside Housing Authority from 1999 to 2009.

She stated, "It is my honor and a pleasure to again serve the people and community I love. " In her new role, Koskie will manage the city's accounting and finance operations, as well as human resources functions. Her appointment reflects a strategic move to enhance the city's operational efficiency and community engagement.
