City of Sunnyside Hires Kelly Koskie as Administrative Services Director

The City of Sunnyside has officially appointed Kelly Koskie as its new Administrative Services Director, effective April 14, 2025. She takes over from Deputy City Manager Debbie Zabell, who retired earlier than expected. With over 20 years in governmental finance, Koskie most recently served as Finance Director for the City of Cortez, Colorado, where she led finance teams through various challenges and successes. Her previous experience includes a decade as Finance Director for the Sunnyside Housing Authority, which strengthens her connection to the local community. City Manager Mike Gonzalez highlighted her local ties and expertise as crucial for the city's future, stating that "Kelly wants to be here and see Sunnyside become a better place to work, live, and play.

" Koskie expressed her excitement about returning to the community, emphasizing her commitment to serving its residents. In her new role, she will oversee the city's accounting, finance operations, municipal court administration, and human resources functions. This appointment marks a significant step for the city as it continues to enhance its administrative capabilities.
