Dye Hard 5K Color Run returns to Yakima Saturday night

The Dye Hard 5K Color Run returns to Yakima on Saturday night, featuring a vibrant 5K course ideal for runners and walkers. This year's event boasts seven color zones and four bubble zones, expanding from its original five color zones. Participants can look forward to a festive post-event celebration filled with music, dancing, and an abundance of color powder. Rich Austin, Director of Sport Development for the Yakima Valley Sports Commission, explained that each participant receives two color powder packets to enhance their experience. Families are welcome, as the event accommodates all ages, including those pushing strollers.

Walkers will start at 9:30 p. m. , with runners following shortly after. Registration closes Friday at 11:59 p. m.
