Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane police arrested Zachary Gring, 32, and Allie Alderson, 26, after a drive-by shooting this morning in northeast Spokane, where no injuries were reported but damage occurred to a vehicle. Gring shot at a house and car linked to a previous incident, where he had fled from officers. During a traffic stop, officers apprehended Alderson, who was already wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant. She faces charges including two counts of Drive-by Shooting and a warrant for No Valid Operator’s License. Gring was booked on multiple charges, including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

A citizen's tip led to Gring's capture without incident. The investigation continues, with more charges anticipated as police gather evidence. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about gun violence and public safety in the Spokane area.
