Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane police took two suspects into custody following a drive-by shooting early this morning, recovering two firearms, one of which was reported stolen. The incident occurred around 5:30 a. m. near Liberty Ave. and Market St.

, resulting in vehicle damage but no injuries. Zachary Gring, 32, was already wanted for eluding police during a related incident the previous day. He shot at a residence and vehicle associated with someone he knew. Allie Alderson, 26, was apprehended shortly after Gring and has multiple warrants, including two counts of drive-by shooting. Gring faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

Both suspects are now in Spokane County Jail, and additional charges are pending as the investigation continues. Community vigilance contributed to the swift apprehension of the suspects.
