Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane police arrested two suspects after a drive-by shooting occurred early this morning in northeast Spokane. At approximately 5:30 a. m. , officers responded to reports of gunfire at Liberty Ave. and Market St.

, where a vehicle was damaged but no injuries were reported. The incident connected to a previous shooting involving Zachary Gring, who had fled from police the day before. Gring shot at a residence and vehicle linked to an acquaintance. Following a tip-off, officers located the suspect vehicle and arrested Gring and Allie Alderson, who had multiple warrants. Gring faces charges including two counts of drive-by shooting, while Alderson faces similar charges along with a warrant for a previous riot charge.

Both suspects are booked in Spokane County Jail as the investigation continues. Local authorities aim to address the ongoing issue of gun violence in the community.
