City to Begin Indiana Avenue Preservation Project

Spokane, WALocal News

The City of Spokane Valley is preparing to launch the Indiana Avenue Preservation Project on September 23, with an anticipated completion date of six weeks later. This project involves extending the concrete pavement on the east leg of the Indiana Avenue and Sullivan Road intersection by about 800 feet. As construction progresses, Indiana Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction, which could affect local traffic patterns. Notably, the I-90 off-ramp to Indiana Avenue will be closed during this period, though the off-ramp to Sullivan Road will remain accessible, allowing drivers to reach Indiana Avenue. The city has committed to ensuring public safety and minimizing disruptions by implementing clear signage to direct drivers around the construction zone.

Jill Smith, the Communications Manager, is available for media inquiries to provide further information. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about this and other construction projects by visiting SpokaneValleyWa. gov/Construction. This project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance road safety for all users.
